In June 2004, CMA’s RTGS system had been launched by the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO). CMA’s responsibility within the project was the delivery and installation of the application software. The project had started in June 2003. CMA had developed and installed a payment system and conducted training of the Central Bank staff in its headquarters and branch offices in eight West African countries: Senegal, Mali, Togo, Niger, Ivory Coast, Guinea Bissau, Burkina Faso, and Benin.
The system has contributed greatly to the integration of the economies of BCEAO member states during 10 years of smooth operation. In 2014 the RTGS was interconnected with the BCEAO CSD system (also provided by CMA).
