About

Bangladesh, Dhaka
October 25, 2015

Bangladesh Bank (the central bank of Bangladesh) launched a new Real-Time Gross Settlement System (RTGS). It took CMA Company nine months to design the system, customize it according to the national regulating authorities and legislation requirements, install and launch it.

This project was executed with the financial assistance of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) as part of the project "Institutional Support for Migrant Worker’s Remittances". Bangladesh RTGS is implemented under Component A: Remittance and Payment Infrastructure Development.

The system will have a substantial impact on current operations in the Bangladesh banks, particularly in the area of treasury, payment division, corporate banking and cash management. The new system provides a set of modern RTGS features, including support of ISO20022.
