Nepal Rastra Bank Launches RTGS System

Kathmandu (Nepal), December 1, 2019. Nepal Rastra bank (NRB) has successfully launched RTGS system. It is interfaced to the General Ledger for balance and payment reconciliation and to the ACH to accept net settlement transactions. Nepal RTGS is a multicurrency system having 27 direct and 50 indirect participants.There were 543 Payments made in the first business day in NPR, USD, JPY, EUR and GBP currencies.
The system is based on CMA’s RTS/X product installed in dozens of Central banks around the world.
