CMA Small Systems confirms IFTS runs 3X better on the Oracle Database Appliance
CMA Small Systems company - a global provider of payment solutions for organizations working in the financial industry and a Gold level member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) announced today about successful completion of the stress test of its banking application platform for instant payments (IFTS) on Oracle Database Appliance.
The main objective of IFTS platform stress test was evaluation of the platform performance in high flow payments mode and its stability for an extended period (24x7). Tests were conducted in FORS Solution Center on Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) HW & SW platform provided by the "FORS Distribution" company. Standard set up of ODA platform included two servers each with a virtual machine for database in the RAC configuration and two virtual machines for application software. The testing revealed the system "bottlenecks" and IFTS system modules were optimized at peak loads. Thereafter IFTS system performance has a threefold increase.
The stress testing showed that Oracle Database Appliance provided high performance and reliability in 24x7 mode for IFTS system. Besides, the use of ODA platform helped to reduce maintenance costs for IFTS system thanks to the automated system of software updates for hardware, operating system and DBMS. It has been proved that Oracle Database Appliance allows to accelerate the deployment of the customer system, as the onsite installation procedures and settings of application software can be replaced by the predefined virtual machines that are created offsite by provider experts using the same platform.
